Two-Day Blast
Our Two-Day Blast trips cover some of the best motorcycle roads in central Ontario and the Quebec Laurentides. The Two-Day Blast is perfect for getting in your 1000+ km saddle-time fix over two days and going back to work on Monday with a smile on your face.
This ride is suitable for all road-legal bikes, from dual purpose to touring, but it will be run at a spirited pace with daily distances in the 450-625 km range; these trips are all about the riding experience. We'll be taking adequate breaks for coffee/lunch/gas along the way. Our one night on the road will be spent at a motel, and we'll make dinner reservations where we can recount the day's ride over a good meal.
If there is sufficient interest, these trips can also be run midweek during the summer so those on vacation can partake while still leaving their weekends free. The Two-Day blasts are available in May/June/July/August/September. Click here to be notified when trip dates become available.
For 2023, Canada Rides is pleased to present two options for the Two-Day Blast. They will be run once a month throughout the season. Check back often to learn when the next event is coming up.
Huntsville Blast - May 27-28, 2023
Those who normally head to Ontario's cottage country on the 400 or Highway 11 are in for an eye-opening experience. There are phenomenal twisting motorcycle roads that can be strung together to form smile-inducing rides from the GTA to the hearts of Muskoka, Haliburton or the Kawarthas. Except for a 10 km run on Highway 11, the route is run exclusively on secondary paved roads. Click here for the itinerary.
Mont Laurier Blast
A little longer than the Huntsville Blast, but not at the expense of trading twisties for major highways. Some of the best roads in the Algonquin Highlands and Ottawa Valley are on tap, and in Quebec, the curves just keep coming riding in the Laurentides up to Mont Laurier. Click here for the itinerary.
All overnights will be in motels or at private locations, no camping.
The price of the two-day blast is $50/Rider.

Trip Itinerary-Huntsville

Day 1
Barrie to Huntsville
Heading north from Canada Rides HQ, we'll be hitting all of the routes motorcyclists love: Southwood Road, Aspdin/Ravencliff/Stiststed Roads, Highway 518, the Bunny Trail, and many more. After an exhilarating day, we'll double back to Huntsville to stay in a motel overnight and have dinner together.

Day 2
Huntsville to Barrie
If you liked Day 1, you'll love Day 2. We'll take 35 to Haliburton, then head down to Gooderham before circling back to the south boundary of Algonquin Park via Elephant Lake Road. Back to Gooderham, we'll travel south on 507; perhaps the best motorcycle road in Central Ontario. We'll make one last stop in Fenlon Falls, then we will continue along the backroads towards Canada Rides HQ.
Trip Itinerary-Mont Laurier

Day 1
Barrie to Mont Laurier
Heading north from Canada Rides HQ, we'll travel the scenic byways through Kinmount, Bancroft, and Denbigh. A fast, twisty run-up Calabogie Road takes into Calabogie itself for a quick roadside lunch (try the poutine!). Just after lunch we'll cross into La Belle Province and head north on some beautiful serpentine roads and through some quaint little towns till we arrive in Mont Laurier.

Day 2
Mont Laurier to Barrie
A completely different route home, we'll head south on the ever-curving Route 309 till we cross back into Ontario at Portage-Du-Fort. Some great roads through the Madawaska Highlands bring us to Elephant Lake Road, where we'll skirt the southern boundary of Algonquin Park before cutting south through Wilberforce then jumping on Old Buckhorn Road and 507 for 60 km of snaked riding. We continue through Bobcaygeon and Fenlon Falls before cutting back through Orillia to Canada Rides HQ.
