Five-Day Northern Ontario Excursion
Our Excursion trips offer five days of riding excitement. These rides are suitable for all road-legal bikes, from dual-purpose to touring, but they will be run at a spirited pace with daily distances in the 500 km range. You must feel comfortable riding this distance daily. We'll be taking adequate breaks for coffee/lunch/gas along the way as well as stops at points of interest. Each night, we'll be staying in motels/inns, and will make dinner reservations for the group. Relaxing over a good meal with new friends and recounting the day's experiences is a great way to end every day.
Our five-day Northern Ontario Excursion is a must-do, especially if you have never motorcycled into Northern Ontario. At 5 days, this will give you just a taste of what's available; you're sure to want to return to explore further. There will be some travel on Highways 400, 69, and 17, so you need to be comfortable riding in formation on major highways. The price of the four-day Northern Ontario excursion is $225/rider. Book before March 4th and save 33%.

All overnights will be in motels or at private locations, no camping.
What is included on the four-day excursion:

Organize all routes from beginning to end, so you can just show up and ride!

Provide tips and hints ahead of time on things to pack, helping you prepare for your adventure. For Road Tours, GPX route files are provided before the trip so you can load them in your GPS.

Recommend all accommodations and evening meals.

Ensure our routes have sufficient rest stops for gas and food with alternate routing if necessary.

Guides carry tools to do trail-side repairs for most common problems (punctured tires, basic fixes). For Road Tours, CAA Plus is recommended.

With satellite tracking for the group, we provide a link you can share with family and friends.

A guide for the entire journey ensures the group stays together.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1
Barrie to Temiskaming Shores
Heading north from Canada Rides HQ, we cover some great motorcycling roads (Southwood Road & Highway 518) before hitting highway 11.
Day 4
Wawa to South Baymouth
A beautiful run along lake superior with some scenic stops along the way before we reach Manitoulin Island. We will reach South Baymouth before nightfall to rest up for the ferry ride back to Tobermory the next day.
Day 2
Temiskaming Shores to Elliot Lake
This is a long day, as we head over to Elliot Lake. We will encounter some beautiful roads before heading west on highway 17.
Day 5
South Baymouth to Home via Chi Cheemaun Ferry
After breakfast, we gear up for the ferry ride back to Tobermory. Once we head down the Bruce Peninsula to Owen Sound, we'll start to separate as each rider takes their most direct route home, happy in knowing that we've met people who have become friends are future riding companions.
Day 3
Elliot Lake to Wawa
This is the day of beautiful vistas and winding roads.
